In the Spring of 2003 Bill and I went to Spain in search of my parents birth place. We were very lucky and found my grandmother's palce in Asturias Spain. The home is located by the Cantabric Sea. It was a farm house that the family used in the summers. As you can see it ws a very nice home. My father and his brothers and sisters had to sell the property in 1958 before the left Cuba. I which they had not sold the property, it is really valuable and they almost gave it away at the time. The situation in Cuba was very bad and they needed money to get the children out of Castro's communist regime.
The family that bought the home was very nice to Bill and I. They had us for lunch and showed me the home with some of my grandmothers firnuture tht were sold with the property. I was very moved by thier kindness and really appreciated that they let me see the house.
