Halloween in Asbury Park 2006

Halloween this year was celebrated in Asbury Park NJ.
I was invited to participate with a group that has won each year for the past 10 years. We were a group of western Singer Stars what have Country Music Gold records.

Chrystal Decanter was the winner again for 10 years in a row for top costume.
As you can see she is 8 feet tall and has enough hair to make impossible to travel by car. The group had to go in a U-Haul. Driven by our good friend Billy.

The assortment of talent was varied and exceptionally good. We won the group category in the Circuit Bar and Paradise. We also wan the overall price at the Circuit Bar which got the group a very nice TV with DVD etc. We elected to give the TV to our driver Billy.

This is my first time dressing up for Halloween, I am not sure if I will do this again.
It is hard and it takes lots of energy. He down side of the process is that you really
Have to wait at the Bar for your group to go on stage and you really have little time
to party.

Come back to the Blog next year to see if I do it again.

Happy Halloween to you all!

Visit Ground for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ

Make Grounds for Sculpture your entrance to the Arts!
In 1987, J. Seward Johnson, Jr. envisioned a public a public sculpture garden and museum where a large and varied body of sculpture could be exhibited. His desire was to make sculpture accessible, to offer the opportunity to people from all backgrounds to become more comfortable with contemporary art, and to provide related educational programs and events at this art center.

The original project site was a vacant lot that was originally part of the New Jersey State Fairgrounds. Renovation started July 1989. Architectural plans and the landscaping designed created by Brian Carey.

This is a wonderful place to visit while in NJ, for $5.00 per person is well worth your time.

Friday August 18 2006

Today I watched 3 movies. Liked all three

World Trade Center is a very powerful movie, very moving and a fair portrait of the difficulty that those families must to endure during the times of uncertainty and frustration with bad information received from the hospital staff, police staff, and media. I thought that Mr. Stone did a supreme job in his interpretation of the situation that rescued number 18 and 19 must to felt during the agonizing hours waiting for help.

The next movie was an uplifting story about dancers from two different worlds trying to fulfill their dreams. The chemistry between the main actors in fantastic, head master of the school is right on with her since of dedication to the school and the well being of the students. I really recommend for this movie to be seen by many young people that are struggling with since of direction and purpose in this world.

Lastly I saw and loved Snakes on the plane. Wow what a thriller. The concept of such bazaar way of getting a witness to die was interesting. Not too believable but snakes make an interesting mechanism to kill innocent people on a plane where there is no where to go. The fact that the snakes can silently sneaks to its victims without knowledge makes the action very scary and dramatic. The acting was good and the snakes did a fantastic job making it very creepy.

Friday Movies

Friday August 4th at the Movies

Today I saw 3 movies that were fair to bad.

First the horrible Talladega Nights. Please just don’t spend the time. Bad acting, and terrible editing and sound.

Second I saw Miami Vice. I liked it and I thought that the story was well crafted and the views of Miami are fantastic. Speed boats are something to watch.

Took a pick at pirates of the Caribbean. Thought to be boring and left the theater.

Third I saw and liked the Night listener. Great acting by all, very dark.

Trip to Central Europe

Today May 21, 2006 we leave for Central Europe. Starting in Berlin via plane from Miami, train to Warsaw, motor couch to Krakow, Budapest, Prague, and Vienna.
I will be making a journal of our trip upon our return with pictures and hopefully funny remarks and adventures. See you in 24 days. CIAO!!!!

We are back and very happy with the GCT tour that we took. WE had about 44 people together for 17 days and about 15 for the PRI trip to Berlin and 20 for the after trip to Vienna. We travel a total of 24 days. Must first tell you the Grand Circle Travel does things very well and really did not make the traveling grilling by staying in hotel 3 to 4 nights giving you plenty time to unpack and not feel hassled by moving too much.

Atlantis Cruise on the Celebrity infinity Ship

Seven days onboard the Infinity ship from Celebrity. We had a wonderful time. Visited St. Croix and St. Martin. The weather was perfect and the party was 24 x 7. This was our first gay cruise. Nothing but good things to say about Atlantis events. We had a great time and it was well worth it. the intertainment on board was fantastic. We has Charo (Cuchi-cuchi girl) and Joan Rivers so you can imagine how much LOL was going on. Both artist were so nice and so good, Charo played classical guitar and sang and danced, June did her stuff, must irreverant but lots of fun. She makes fun of her as well as every human being in the universe. Celebrity Cruise Line was wonderful. The ship is very pretty and it had wonderful restaurants and ammenities. The SPA was fantastic. Posted by Picasa
